Building a Bold and Youthful Brand Identity
The Youth Nature Keepers logo reflects the energy, diversity, and environmental focus of the program. Designed with a vibrant color palette and youthful elements, the logo encapsulates the mission to engage young Canadians in protecting ecosystems. This visual identity provided the foundation for all program branding, ensuring a cohesive and recognizable presence across platforms and materials.
Designing an Engaging Digital Hub
The Youth Nature Keepers website was developed to serve as the central hub for coordinators and volunteers. Built using WordPress and the Avada theme, the site features an intuitive layout with bold design elements inspired by the logo's colour palette. Stock imagery is sparingly used, with a focus on authentic visuals from fieldwork and coordinator contributions to foster a sense of community. This collaborative process ensured the website aligned with the needs and expectations of its users.
Capturing Stories Through a Mini-Documentary Series
The Mini-Doc series showcases the impactful work of Youth Nature Keepers through compelling storytelling. Filmed across Canada—from Fish Creek Provincial Park in Calgary to Mill Creek Nature Park in New Brunswick—the series captures the dedication of youth volunteers as they tackle environmental challenges. Each story highlights their creativity, resilience, and commitment to fostering change, creating an emotional connection with viewers and inspiring future participation.
