Sapporo Canada and Sapporo USA once featured stunning sumi-e illustrations in a TV spot. While directing a photo shoot for Sapporo, I was struck by an idea—how to seamlessly transition this captivating TV creative into print. Two weeks later, I developed a spread that incorporated the dragon illustration alongside a perspective shot of Sapporo’s iconic 650mL ribbed can and glass. This concept quickly evolved into a full-fledged campaign, extending to a series of print ads, out-of-home billboard-style graphics on transport trailers, and a wide range of point-of-sale materials.
